Netflix announced the news this week.
We know, we know: it’s barely March, so it feels awfully early to be talking about anything Christmassy related.
However, we just couldn’t help but get excited when we heard the news that a third A Christmas Prince film is on the way.
The Netflix original (and its sequel) have been our go-to cheesy Christmas films for the last few years.
They had all of the ingredients for a must-watch romantic comedy: witty comebacks, home decor #goals, a few exclamations of ‘you lied to me!’ and at least one big, dramatic kiss.
And just when we though journalist-turned-Aldovian-Queen Amber and her husband King Richard had been through a lot already, it looks like the newlyweds are going to be taking on a new challenge: parenthood.
Netflix announced the upcoming third A Christmas Prince film on Twitter on Monday, sharing that they had some “personal news”.
They posted a photo of an ultrasound, with the words “baby makes 3” on the top.
Towards the bottom of the post, they confirmed that ‘A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby’ will be arriving “this holiday season.”

According to Refinery 29, the film’s description reads:
“It’s Christmastime in Aldovia—and a royal baby is on the way! Amber and Richard host royals from a faraway kingdom to renew an ancient truce, but when the priceless 600-year-old-treaty disappears, peace is put in jeopardy and an ancient curse threatens their family!”
We already can’t wait.
